Quick answer: A doctor home visit in Dubai with City Doctor costs AED 399. This is the consultation fee. Lab tests, medicines, drips, injections and procedures cost extra, and the doctor tells you the price before you agree to any of them.
A doctor home visit from City Doctor costs AED 399 in Dubai. That fee pays for the doctor's consultation at your home, hotel or office, and anything else you need is priced on top.
Below you will find what the AED 399 covers, what costs extra, how booking and payment work, and when you should call 998 instead. The price is in UAE dirhams (AED) and was checked on 5 October 2026. The doctor visit page always shows the current price.
What does the AED 399 doctor visit fee cover?
The fee covers the consultation with a licensed doctor. City Doctor's doctors are general practitioners, also called GPs or family doctors. Each has more than 10 years of experience.
During the visit the doctor can:
- ask about your symptoms and your health history
- check your vital signs
- assess common illnesses, such as fever, cough, sore throat and stomach upset
- give general care and follow-up advice for symptoms that keep coming back
- give you a care plan, and refer you when you need further care
City Doctor is DHA licensed (licence 6210618).
What costs extra on top of the visit fee?
Five things are separate from the consultation fee:
- lab tests
- medicines
- IV drips
- injections
- procedures
You stay in control of the bill. The doctor tells you the price before any test or treatment. Nothing is charged without your OK. It is fine to ask about the cost before you agree to extra care.
Here are two examples from our price list, so you know what to expect:
- Lab tests at home: from AED 399. For example, the Essential Health Panel is AED 599.
- Sick day IV drips: AED 1,299. These include the Flu and Fever Relief IV Drip and the Food Poisoning Relief IV Drip.
The doctor only suggests a test or a treatment if it fits your symptoms. Many visits need only the consultation.
Does the price change at night, at the weekend or for an urgent visit?
City Doctor works 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and the doctor visit page shows one fee: AED 399. An urgent visit costs more. If you need an urgent visit, the price is shown when you book, or you can ask our team on WhatsApp first.
Tax is added at payment where it applies.
Why do doctor home visit prices differ across Dubai?
You will see different prices when you compare home visit doctors in Dubai. A few things usually explain the difference:
- The type of doctor. A general practitioner and a specialist do not cost the same.
- The time and the speed. Some services charge more for night visits or urgent visits.
- What is inside the fee. Some fees cover only the consultation. Others include medicines or tests.
So when you compare, ask three questions. What does the fee cover? What costs extra? Will I be told the price before anything is added? With City Doctor the answers are on the page before you book.
How do I book, and when do I pay?
Booking takes four steps:
- Choose the doctor visit and tell us your reason for the visit.
- Pick a day and a one-hour time slot. The earliest slot starts at least 1 hour from now.
- Add your address in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah.
- Pay online at the last step.
Your chosen time is a request. Our team confirms the appointment after you book. We aim to arrive within your chosen time slot, but traffic and other things outside our control may change this.
You do not need an account. You can book as a guest, and you can book for someone else. You can also ask for a doctor by name. Doctor choice depends on who is free, so we cannot promise it.
How can I get ready for the doctor's visit?
A little preparation helps you get more from your AED 399. MedlinePlus, from the United States National Library of Medicine, advises people to do these things before seeing a doctor:
- Write down your symptoms, when they started, and how they have changed.
- Make a list of all the medicines, vitamins and supplements you take.
- Write down your questions, so you do not forget them.
Tell the doctor about any allergies too.
Can a City Doctor doctor see my child?
Yes, you can book a visit for a child. Our doctors are general practitioners, not children's specialists. If the visit is for a baby, message our team on WhatsApp first with your baby's age and symptoms. They will guide you before you book.
When should I call 998 instead of booking a home visit?
A home visit is not for emergencies. It does not replace emergency care. Call 998 for an ambulance now if you or someone near you has:
- chest pain
- trouble breathing
- heavy bleeding that will not stop
- fainting, or passing out
- signs of a stroke, such as sudden weakness, trouble speaking or a sudden change in vision
- sudden confusion, or being very hard to wake
- swelling of the face, eyes or tongue
- thoughts of hurting yourself
MedlinePlus lists these and other warning signs of a medical emergency. If you are not sure, treat it as an emergency and call 998.
Can I get a doctor home visit in Abu Dhabi or Sharjah?
Yes. City Doctor visits homes, hotels and offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, day and night. City Doctor also holds licences from the Department of Health Abu Dhabi (MF8071) and the Sharjah Health Authority (HF/2026/000533).
What else do people ask about doctor home visit prices in Dubai?
Is the AED 399 fee per visit or per person?
The fee is the consultation fee for one doctor visit. If more than one person in your home needs to see the doctor, message our team on WhatsApp before you book. They will tell you the cost.
Are medicines included in the price?
No. Medicines are separate from the consultation fee. The doctor tells you the price first, and you decide.
Can I use my health insurance?
Not directly. You pay us first. Then we give you a full bill and all the papers to make a claim. You send them to your own insurance company. Whether they pay you back, and how much, depends on your plan.
How can I pay?
You pay online at the last step of booking. We accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
Can a doctor come to my hotel?
Yes. Our doctors visit hotels as well as homes and offices. The fee is the same AED 399.
Where can I find more answers before I book?
